Omaha, NE; February, 2025 — SCORE Greater Omaha is honored to receive the Nebraska District Chapter of the Year Award for outstanding performance in 2024.
The award recognizes Greater Omaha SCORE for increasing client mentoring session 78%, increasing attendance at in person and online workshops 94%, increasing total services to entrepreneurs 61%.
SCORE Greater Omaha has been a part of the local small business community for 48 years. In 2024 the chapter’s volunteers provided free face-to-face mentoring and workshops for over 700 aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Greater Omaha SCORE also supports both military personnel preparing to leave the military and Veterans through workshops and mentoring. During 2024 workshops were also provided for the Latino market reaching 400 attendees.

Unfortunately, 20% of businesses fail in their first year and 50% fail in their first five years. To help overcome these challenges, SCORE’s volunteer mentors provide experienced advice, best practices and training on a wide range of small business topics, all free of charge. Utilizing SCORE’s support, we are proud to share that one of our clients received a $20,000 grant to help her grow her business.”
